We are committed to eliminating dengue and fostering a greener Indonesia.
Improving earning potential by building core domain skills, focusing on entrepreneurship and life skills education, and providing post-training support
MoreOur team in Indonesia launched the Goodness Waste Bank initiative in partnership with Kertabumi, a non-governmental organisation focused on the environment. Through this initiative, we have empowered 105 households to become active members, collectively collecting over 2.3 tons of plastic and non-plastic waste. As part of this initiative, our team organised a total of 12 workshops for residents of the community to help them collect and recycle waste into valuable goods.
Spreading awareness to ensure the health and well-being of the individuals in the community
More150 of our team members in Indonesia volunteered their time towards educating 1,500 elementary school students across Jakarta, and 30,000 homes with larva monitoring agents across Indonesia on dengue prevention.
Tackling inefficient solid waste management through partnerships with local municipalities, social entrepreneurs and residents
MorePackaging reduction and product model optimisation are key solutions currently being implemented to minimise potential waste. This initiative has significantly reduced 573 tonnes of packaging material in FY24. We optimise packaging materials overall, including their size, thickness, number of layers, and explore alternative plastic materials that can reduce packaging weight. In the future, we will continue to leverage emerging technology to further enhance the efficient use of materials for packaging at Godrej.
Our team in Indonesia conducted a recycling program in partnership with one of our key account, in 5 stores across 2 cities. We gathered empty mosquito repellent cans from consumers and collaborated with Rekosistem, a climate-tech startup specialising in waste management and recycling, to have them transformed into aluminium rolls and other metals.
